Challenge:

Design a contained environment for use in clinical healthcare settings to isolate infectious (e.g., Ebola) patients from the general hospital population.

Solution:

The bioBUBBLE Clinical care unit was developed with biosafety consultants to ensure adherence to CDC guidelines. Clear vinyl walls allow direct visual contact and communication between trained observers, healthcare workers and EVD patients. Freestanding, portable environment is easily decontaminated and stored when not in use. Designed to fit into existing hospital space, this solution offers significant cost savings, less disruption and more rapid implementation compared to hard room construction.
